*Hikari's smiling as she activates the video feed function of the pokégear. There is some heavy breathing in the background, though the source of it isn't Hikari.*

Well, it took me long enough to get around to doing it, but I finally got my first badge.

*She holds up the Zephyr Badge, before quickly putting it away.*

Anyway, I also have a quick question, since well....

*She moves the pokégear to look behind her, showing a Charizard just relaxing and laying down behind her. The focus on him is only for a moment, before Hikari brings the device back to her.*

Anyway, now that I have a pokémon that I can ride on without feeling like I'm breaking every law of physics and risking danger, does anyone know where I can get the HM to teach him Fly? Or does anyone maybe have one that I can borrow? It'd be a lot easier for me to get around if I can fly on Charizard instead of having to walk everywhere.

*There's some snorting from Charizard in the background. It sounds like someone isn't exactly on board with Hikari's plan.*

Me either. I didn't really think much about it at the time. I mean, it wasn't like I could ride on Pidgetto and Togekiss when they were Pidgey and Togetic.

Well, that wouldn't be possible.

[He approaches Hikari, his Emolga cheerfully flying towards him and perching on top of his head (or hat, for that matter) much like Patamon's habit.]

I mean Emolga here flies but I can't ride on him either. Same goes for Yanmega when he was still a Yanma. [Or Flygon and Aerodactyl at the moment.]

Yeah, that's why I didn't think of it.

Though I think it's probably still not possible to fly on Togekiss.

I wouldn't even dare try if I were you.

Of course I won't. Even thinking about it is just completely silly.

Makes you wish riding on Nefertimon, huh? [A nostalgic smile.] Or Pegasmon.

Yeah, definitely.

*She sighs though.*

Hey, Takeru-kun, do you remember that small time when Tailmon was here with us?

*She can't remember if it was when Takeru was here before, or after he came back. That... kinda upsets her a little bit.*

[He nods, still with a small smile on his face.]

Mm, I did. It was brief but I appreciated her presence here. [His smile wanes a little, though.] If only Patamon came to visit here, too.

*Hikari nods, frowning a bit.*

Yeah, same here. Though part of me wishes she was still here with us... and that Patamon was here too.

At least we know they should be doing okay back home though.

[Takeru frowns as well.]

I agree. And since time stopped when we're dragged here, we also know we're technically there with them.

*Hikari smiled, moving a bit closer to Takeru and wrapping her arms around him in a hug.*

Yeah, that's true. They'd be going crazy if we weren't still there with them.

[The hug catches Takeru off guard for a bit before he returns it, placing an arm around Hikari's form, pulling her closer to him.]

I can just imagine. [He tucks her head under his chin.] Then again, that won't ever happen, anyway.

*Hikari just nodded, not saying anything as she relaxed into Takeru's arms as he pulled her closer to him.*

[His smile softens as he nuzzles his cheek against her head.]

This feels really nice.

Yeah...

*She took a deep breath, nuzzling up against him some more.*

[Emolga, who's still perched on top of Takeru's hat, makes a sound of approval at the intimacy he's watching before his eyes.]

By the way, I think you did really great back there. I'm proud of you, Hikari-chan.

*Hikari giggles, before finally breaking the hug so she can look up at Takeru's face.*

*She smiles.*

So, the next one is in Azalea Town, right?

[~~Aw, but the hug was nice. :(~~ Once Hikari lets go, he gave a determined nod while Emolga flies to his shoulder.]

That's right! I hear the next gym leader specializes with bug types so it'd be easy if you have a fire type or a flying type.

[Good thing he has both.]

*Hikari giggled.*

Well, I guess we should be all set for when we get there. I mean, for me, Togekiss is pretty strong and Charizard should be fine with doing that battle if I let him sleep after.

I agree.

[Even Emolga also nods.]

I should let Fearow and Rapidash take over that battle too. And I have Ninetails as back up if ever things get rough.

So it shouldn't be that much of a problem at all then. For either of us.

We should still be careful, though.

Good point. It'd seem pretty silly to underestimate the gym leader and then lose. Especially when we know how strong they're supposed to be.

[A nod and a determined smile.]

That's true! So I don't think there's any room for losing. Especially since I know we can all do this.

And even then, it's still a pretty long way to there, so we should have time to train if we need it.
