Well, it took me long enough to get around to doing it, but I finally got my first badge.

*She holds up the Zephyr Badge, before quickly putting it away.*

Anyway, I also have a quick question, since well....

*She moves the pokégear to look behind her, showing a Charizard just relaxing and laying down behind her. The focus on him is only for a moment, before Hikari brings the device back to her.*

Anyway, now that I have a pokémon that I can ride on without feeling like I'm breaking every law of physics and risking danger, does anyone know where I can get the HM to teach him Fly? Or does anyone maybe have one that I can borrow? It'd be a lot easier for me to get around if I can fly on Charizard instead of having to walk everywhere.

*There's some snorting from Charizard in the background. It sounds like someone isn't exactly on board with Hikari's plan.*

In Johto, you can get Fly in Cianwood. I'm heading there myself, soon.

Me either. I didn't really think much about it at the time. I mean, it wasn't like I could ride on Pidgetto and Togekiss when they were Pidgey and Togetic.

Cianwood. That's... past Olivine. And I'd need Surf to go get it.

*She blinks a bit.*

Umm, no. I have a Pidgeotto and a Togekiss. Charizard's just the only one I can ride on without breaking a few laws of physics.

[He nods.] You can get Surf in Olivine, but you'll need the Ecruteak badge to actually use it. Otherwise there's a ferry.

[...Hmmmmn.]

Those're both good pokemon for traveling--I've flown on both. Completely safe.

Actually, I don't need the badges for using the moves since I'm a breeder, though I'm planning on going up against all the gym leaders anyway.

But are you sure? I mean, I'm almost as big if not bigger than both of them.

[HUH. Well alright then.]

I don't see why not, sure. I've seen them carry a grown woman--not just normal flying, either. She was able to do tricks with them.

Well, I believe you, Johto is weird, after all.

... Still, I still think it'd be safer to be riding on Charizard instead of Togekiss or Pidgetto.

I mean Emolga here flies but I can't ride on him either. Same goes for Yanmega when he was still a Yanma. [Or Flygon and Aerodactyl at the moment.]

Though I think it's probably still not possible to fly on Togekiss.
