[Well, it's a pretty normal day, isn't it.

Which is why there's a Chikorita playing with Hikari's pokégear.]

[Well, the Chikorita sure seems pretty excited. Wonder why? Well, you're going to find out, because she's taking it in her mouth and pointing it towards Hikari... whose sitting in a chair with a smaller Chikorita in her lap.]

Riri!.

[The small one snuggles up against Hikari, who's forcing a bit of a smile before she turns to her other Chikorita and takes the gear from her.]

Well, guess who finally hatched. I was getting a bit worried since it was taking so long, but the baby seems fine.

[Said baby is now sleeping on Hikari's lap. Hikari giggles, just petting the baby for a little bit.]

I'm happy to hear that, Hikari-chan! Can Bayleef and I see the new baby?

Of course you can, Takeru-kun! It'd be really mean of us if we didn't let you two come!

[A lopsided smile.] And I don't believe you can ever be mean. --Alright, we'll be on our way.

[Hikari giggled. Yep. She could never be mean. Never ever!]

[So now all she needed to do was wait.]

[And she doesn't even need to wait for long because Takeru arrives after a few minutes. Upon arrival, Bayleef jumps out of his pokeball to greet Hikari's Chikorita. And, well, their new baby.]

I guess I'm not the only one who's excited.

[Hikari giggled as she saw Takeru come into the room, with Bayleaf moving over to speak to her Chikorita and the baby. They definitely seem to like each other, even if the baby is a bit cautious at first.]

I know what you mean, but you really can't blame him, can you?

Well, yeah. I really can't.

[He watches their pokemon with a gentle smile.]

They look like one happy family, huh?

[Hikari nods, looking down and seeing the baby Chikorita start to nuzzle up against both of them.]

They really are. It's a good thing I'm not planning on separating them. I'll have to talk with Daisuke-kun, Miyako-san, Jou-san, or Tailmon to see if they want to take the baby though.

Sounds like the best course of action. [And he smiles back at Hikari to emphasize this.] I'll ask Iori-kun, too! Or oniichan.

[Hikari smiled a bit more.]

Thanks Takeru-kun. I'm sure one of them will want to take this little one.

Yeah, and he'll be in good hands. I'm sure of it.

[He can't go wrong with his friends.]

Aww, it hatched! It's so cute!

Yeah, she really is!

[Hikari keeps petting the baby.]

Now I just need to figure out who I'm going to give it to. I have too many pokémon to take care of myself.

You're giving her up!? [Miyako looks absolutely devastated by that.] B-but... it's the Chikoritas' baby!

... Only if you or one of the others wants her.

Hn... [She's tempted.]

[Hikari's not going to say anything.

Mostly because babby Chikorita just woke up and is now jumping on top of her again, this time trying to look over at the screen.]
