[Video/Action for Violet City]
[The pokégear turns on, showing a big close up of Chikorita's face.]
Rita!
[Well, she certainly looks happy. Wonder why? Well, Chikorita's pulling away from the gear now...
And there's an egg sitting on the couch in the shot. She jumps up to it, smiles and lets out another shout of "Rita!".]
Chikorita! Where are you? And have you seen my poké...
[There's a pause for a moment, before she gasps.]
Where did that egg come from!
Chi! Rita rita chi!
[Hikari quickly walks into view, a panic'd look on her face.]
Come on, we need to give that egg to Nurse Joy so she can find out who it belongs too!
[She moves to take the egg, but Chikorita growls at her and jumps in front of it.]
Ri. Tarita!
Why are you being so protective of it? You're acting like it's...
[She pauses again, and when she next speaks, she's a bit terrified.]
It... no. That's not yours, right?
Rita!
[And then there's Hikari falling to her knees.]
How? You're still a baby...
[OOC: So yeah, Hikari and Takeru's Chikorita's have gotten a bit friendly with each other, though thankfully for Hikari's sanity they only have the one egg here.]

[Pause of awkwardness. It almost feels like Patamon and Tailmon got together.] It's still weird how something so small can have eggs.

Even so, like I said, it's not so bad. If you need someone who will babysit the egg, I won't mind. [And Takeru's Chikorita lets out a loud "Chika!" of approval.]

Thanks Takeru-kun! Though Daisuke-kun already offered too. At least I know I won't need to worry if we need someone to watch the egg.

In any case, what are your plans when it hatches?

So I don't think I can really sell the egg. Maybe Miyako-san or Daisuke-kun will want to take care of a Chikorita?
