[Well, she certainly looks happy. Wonder why? Well, Chikorita's pulling away from the gear now...

And there's an egg sitting on the couch in the shot. She jumps up to it, smiles and lets out another shout of "Rita!".]

Chikorita! Where are you? And have you seen my poké...

[There's a pause for a moment, before she gasps.]

Where did that egg come from!

Chi! Rita rita chi!

[Hikari quickly walks into view, a panic'd look on her face.]

Come on, we need to give that egg to Nurse Joy so she can find out who it belongs too!

[She moves to take the egg, but Chikorita growls at her and jumps in front of it.]

Ri. Tarita!

Why are you being so protective of it? You're acting like it's...

[She pauses again, and when she next speaks, she's a bit terrified.]

It... no. That's not yours, right?

Rita!

[And then there's Hikari falling to her knees.]

How? You're still a baby...

[OOC: So yeah, Hikari and Takeru's Chikorita's have gotten a bit friendly with each other, though thankfully for Hikari's sanity they only have the one egg here.]

Hikari-chan??? Where... How did it have a-- [LOST FOR WORDS. SOB]

[Oh, Hikari~ Remember this guy? The same guy who was pushing his team around?

Well, right now he's moseying around town with a Wartortle, a Charizard, and an Alakazam. He hasn't noticed her just yet; too busy talking to his team.]

I swear. Getting Terror to behave is like pulling teeth. It's a wonder I'm still--

[And it's right about now that he overhears the little Chikorita and promptly stops and stares for a minute.]

... huh. There's something you don't see every day.

[Even the big, beastly Charizard looks kinda perplexed here. Even if base forms can breed, it's still weird to think about.]

Oh wow! Congratulations! [Coming from a breeder who has never actually breeded]

[Someone's chasing his Chikorita to the direction of Hikari's room. He doesn't know why his pokemon is acting like there's something exciting when he saw the video feed in his trainer's Pokegear. All Takeru knows is that he has to catch up to his pokemon before it wanders off somewhere else.]

Most animals mature faster than humans, so you shouldn't be surprised for it

[Even though it would still be pretty shocking for Anew if she saw Opal carrying an Eevee egg]
